The New Jersey Foundation for Dance & Theatre Arts
The charitable partner of The King Centre for the Performing Arts, the Foundation exists to advance dance and theatre in New Jersey — nurturing young artists, staging works that reach the whole community, and opening doors through scholarship and access.

Founded to extend the legacy of a studio that has trained dancers for fifty years, the New Jersey Foundation for Dance and Theatre Arts is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the growth of the performing arts in our community.
Where the studio teaches, the Foundation gives: it funds the productions, scholarships, and outreach that would not be possible through tuition alone. Every gift is tax-deductible and stays close to home, supporting New Jersey dancers and the audiences who come to see them.
The Nutcracker
Our flagship production, staged each December, brings dancers of every age to the stage in a full-length classical ballet — a New Jersey holiday tradition for families across the region.
Scholarships
Need- and merit-based scholarships ensure that talented, committed students can train and perform regardless of financial circumstance.
Community Access
Outreach performances, discounted tickets, and educational programming bring live dance and theatre to audiences who might not otherwise experience it.
The Nutcracker
Each December, the Foundation presents a full-length production of The Nutcracker, featuring dancers from The King Centre alongside guest artists. It is a labor of love — months of rehearsal, handmade sets and costumes, and a live audience of families who return year after year. Proceeds support the Foundation's scholarship and outreach work.

The Foundation awards need- and merit-based scholarships to dedicated students each year, covering tuition, performance fees, and dancewear so that commitment and talent — not cost — determine who gets to dance. Families may apply through the studio office; awards are reviewed confidentially by the Foundation's board.
