Frequently asked questions
Is acro the same as gymnastics?
They overlap, but acro is designed for dancers — it emphasizes seamless, controlled movement that blends into choreography, always taught with careful spotting and progression.
Is acro safe for my child?
Safety is our top priority. Skills are taught in a strict progression with proper conditioning and hands-on spotting, so dancers only advance when they're ready.
Does my child need acro for competition?
It's not required, but acro skills give competitive dancers a real edge and are woven into many American Youth Dance Company routines.
